Mazel was born on the island of Trinidad in the Caribeban and lives in St.Maarten for over twenty-five years now.
She began painting five years ago because she needed an avenue to express the myriad of emotions clamoring inside her.
One can find in many of her paintings the mixture of two worlds, the Caribbean and Jura, where her husband is from. Her annuals visits to Franche-Comte has become a sort of pilgrimage to revitalize and stimulate her artistic abilities. As most artists, she harbors a vivid and sometimes unorthodox imagination. Some critics finds it difficult to categorize her work because of the difference in the genres.
Mazel est née sur l'île de Trinidad aux Caraibes et réside à Saint-Martin depuis maintenant plus de vingt-cinq ans.
Mazel a commencé à peindre il y a bientôt cinq ans parce qu'elle avait désiré extérioriser les nombreuses émotions qu'elle ressentait.
On retrouve dans nombre d'entre elles le mélange de deux mondes, les Caraïbes et le pays d'enfance de son époux jurassien. Ses visites annuelles en France-Comté sont devenues un pèlerinage qui revitalise et stimule ses aptitutes artistitiques.
