Week end portes ouverts des ateliers d’artistes et galeries.

C’est une quarantaine d’artistes répartis dans 25 lieux, dont 7 galeries qui se rassemblent pour la quatrième fois pour ouvrir leurs portes durant un week end. Une association d’artistes subventionnée par la DRAC et des sponsors locaux, qui travaille chaque année pour que l’art soit accessible à un large public.

Amateurs, curieux, et collectionneurs sont conviés à un parcours culturel. Grâce à une carte de l’île mentionnant les lieux d’exposition,vous pourrez établir vous mêmes votre circuit.
Point de départ à la Plantation Mont Vernon, où le vernissage regroupant une œuvre de chaque artiste aura lieu le vendredi 23 Mars de 18 h30 à 21 h.
De là muni de la carte remis durant tout le week end à la plantation vous pourrez partir à la découverte de l’île aux artistes où une signalitique avec panneaux et ballons rouges et blancs vous aidera à détecter les 25 lieux d’expositions ouvert de 9 h à 18 h.
A signaler cette année 8 nouveaux artistes exposants et l’arrivée de 2 nouvelles galeries et une originalité,puisque le sculpteur Douglas Hazelton exposera sur son bateau « le Sinbad » à quai de la marina Fort Louis à Marigot.

Pot de clotûre le dimanche 25 à partir de 19h à la petite favorite à Grand Case.

An open house week–end of Art galleries and Studios.

Forty or so artists from 25 different locations, 7of which are art galleries, have joined for a fourth time to host this open house week-end. The aim of the artists association subsidized by the DRAC and local sponsors, is to make art more accessible to the public.

Art connoisseurs, collectors and all interested parties are cordially invited to this cultural rally. Thanks to an island map highlighting the exhibiting locations you will be able to plan your own special circuit.
The point of departure is La Plantation Mont Vernon where an opening exhibition will take place on Friday March 25th between 6.30 and 9.00pm. On this occasion each artist will exhibit one piece of work. From there, equipped with the map which you can pick up at the plantation house throughout the week-end, you can set off in discovery of our island of artists; special signs and clusters of red and white balloons will help you locate the 25 exhibiting sites which will be open from 9.00 am – 6.00pm .
This year we would like to draw your attention to eight new exhibiting artists, two brand new galleries and an additional point of interest in that Douglas Hazelton the sculptor, will be exhibiting aboard his yacht ‘Sindbad’ at the dock in Fort Louis marina, by kind invitation of M. Etienne Taquin the director.

The event will close with an evening cocktail on Sunday the 25th at La petite favourite in Grand – Case at 7.00pm.
