ART LOVERS WEEK END

Pour cette 5ème édition du désormais incontournable week-end printanier d'Art Lovers, les artistese membres de l'association renouent avec le même concept que les années précédentes :
Il s'agira pour les amateurs d'Art et de belles rencontres de sillonner l'île, carte en mains, au gré de leurs goûts artistiques ou de leurs fringales intellectuelles et de pénétrer les antres de créations de nos artistes locaux.
Au total, près de quarante artistes accomplis, du peintre au photographe en passant par le céramiste ou le sculpteur, se réunieront dans 25 lieux d'exposition différents afin d'accueillir curieux et collectionneurs.
8 galeries d'art participent également à l'événement subventionné par la DRAC et soutenu par le groupe Dauphin Telecom. Les visiteurs seront accueillis samedi et dimanche de 10 heures et 18 heures par les artiste.
Le grand vernissage de cette exposition hors normes se déroulera vendredi à partir de 18 heures dans le parc enchanteur de la Plantation Mont Vernon.
Une occasion unique d'apercevoir un florilège détonant des oeuvres insulaires.

ART LOVERS WEEK END

The colours that are the epitome of the Caribbean and forms that mimic the rolling hills and perfection of nature are the rewards to be reaped by any art lover who is determined to soak up as much of the St.Maarten/St.Martin art scene.
The fifth annual Art Lover's Weekend will tie together the brush stroles, visionary imaginatives figures and intricate works of some forty artists who call the island home and are inspired by its unequalled beauty. Their works adorning the walls of 25 galleries and studios island wide will be displayed this Saturday and Sunday for art connoisseurs and dabblers to feast their eyes on and be captivated to collect.
Starting this week end of open houses and galleries are a reception and the launch of the Art Lover's Map that catalogue the eight galleries, studios and homes that form part of the art association. It is a definitive guide for the weekend of open houses as well as a tool for future art excursions.
The Art Lovers' reception is slated for La Plantation Mont Vernon on the French side Friday evening from 6.30. A sample of work from participating galleries and artists will be on exhibition in the plantation's rustic and historical setting.
